One Size Doesn't Fit All

You head into the kitchen for breakfast... you are starving! You get the biggest bowl off the shelf and fill it with cereal to the max and chow down.

You are totally stuffed. Did you just eat a
WHOLE day's worth of food?

You check out the serving size on the side of the box. How much of a good thing did you eat?

What you serve yourself, or what you are served by others is
often more than what you need.

It’s crazy to see some of the portion sizes today! You know what I'm talking about, those super-sized sodas and fries, the big snack bags of chips and candy, not to mention those monster burgers that barely fit in your mouth!

So what is a right size portion? Check this out.

Not sure what a portion is and what a serving is?

A SERVING is the amount of food you see listed on the Nutrition Facts panel on packaged foods or what is recommended for the different food groups on the Food Guide Pyramid.

A PORTION is the amount of food you choose to put on your plate. So bigger portions can count as more than one serving.
