Snacks That Are Good To Go

Snacktime is an
easy time to enjoy your favorite “seldom” foods like a soda or a candy bar but choosing snacks that are good for you will make you healthier and give you loads more energy.
Finger friendly and tasting good on the go, snacks can really
stop those hunger pains between meals.

What are the best choices for healthy snacks?

A piece of fruit, like an apple or an orange or a bunch of carrot sticks are the healthiest snacks around. But there are lots great snacks to choose.

Think about some of these the next time you are looking for a snack:

Baked chips are better than deep-fried chips. Baked tortilla chips are another great chip choice.

Light popcorn, choose the microwave popcorn that is low in fat. Popcorn is a whole grain and a top snack choice!

Raisins are a great source of energy and full of the nutrients your body needs.

Nuts are loaded with the good stuff. You can make your own trail mix with nuts, raisins and granola.

Granola bars are high in fiber and they really fill you up.

Sunflower seeds are a real powerhouse snack, high in fiber and packed with protein.

String Cheese is a healthy low-fat, high-calcium snack.

Yogurt: frozen, nonfat or low-fat, is an awesome snack choice.

Frozen fruit bars and Fudgsicles are great snacks, refreshing and yummy.
